Esteemed Actor Pat Finn, Known For Roles in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at 60 Years Old.
US actor Pat Finn, who appeared in popular programs like "Friends", "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has died at the age of 60.
The comedic improv actor succumbed at his home in Los Angeles recently having undergone treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, as reported by media reports.
"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - just potential friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones stated in a statement.
They continued that he had "embraced life completely - with happiness and energy".
A Prolific TV Career
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He subsequently landed a recurring role on "Murphy Brown" between 1995 and 1997.
He starred as Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, playing a host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.
During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on numerous popular shows, like:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- "House"
He was most recognized for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.
His cinematic roles encompass "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond the Screen
Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.
He was involved with a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.
"He taught, supported, and inspired countless students during his career and you'd be hard-pressed to find a person anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.
Offering condolences, fellow actor actor Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A wonderful father and man," he shared publicly.
Finn is remembered by his wife Donna, his three kids, and his parents and siblings.
