David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
